The Pre-K students in Mrs. Tiffany and Ms. Kayla’s Monkey Class celebrated the 100th day of school last week. The students participated in a variety of fun and engaging activities centered around the number 100. During large group time, students danced along to a “Count to 100” song and listened to books about the 100th day of school. They also took part in a show-and-tell, where they proudly shared their 100th day projects.
In small groups, students rotated through several learning stations. One group practiced counting by sorting 100 dinosaurs from a pile, while another built a tower using 100 cups. A third group used a ten-frame pop-it toy to count to 100 and created a special 100th Day hat. The final group practiced writing by filling 100 bubbles with the first letter of their name.
During snack time, students followed directions to help create a 100th Day trail mix made up of 100 pieces of assorted snacks. To wrap up the day, students read a poem and counted the letters, which totaled 100. The celebration was made even more special as students dressed up as their 100-year-old selves, making the day both educational and memorable.
