Irwin County School System (ICSS) commenced it's district Scripps Spelling Bee today. Students were given a written spelling bee test in their classrooms using the Scripps words for that grade level. The top ten in each grade level then competed in the School Bee on January 17. Today, the Top ten fourth and fifth graders competed in the District Bee alongside the Middle/High Winners from their respective School Bee, for a chance to compete in the Regional Bee. Winners of the Regional Bee will move on to the National Bee, held in Washington, DC. ICSS would like to thank all of the participants of the 2023 System Wide Scripps Spelling Bee.
